The founder of the Renato Grandi Foundation, Armando Grandi, passed away on October 25 in Lugano, his city of residence. He is not only the founder of an extraordinary foundation, created in memory of his beloved son Renato and bearing his name: Fondazione Renato Grandi, but also and above all an example for all of us.
His person, the fact that he was an exceptional man, of great generosity, good and altruistic, left an indelible mark in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him. With a big heart, thanks to his infinite kindness he saved many children in various parts of the world by building wells and aqueducts, schools and a pediatric center in Guinea Bissau, appreciated by all.
With his dedication and commitment, he has changed the lives of hundreds of children, men and women in the poorest countries of the world, giving them back their dignity, their opportunities and a better future. Their work, tenacity, and foresight inspire us to believe that with the right heart and will, it is possible to make a difference. Thanks to their enthusiasm and tireless work, many lives have been transformed and many dreams that seemed unattainable have come true for these creatures.
