The Femmes d’Europe Association funds an incubator for the Ikelu hospital in Tanzania

The incubator financed by the Femmes d’Europe Association (FdE) has arrived at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Ikelu, Tanzania, and is now operational! The neonatology doctor and the nurses who already use this incubator to save the lives of premature babies are deeply grateful for this donation.

The new incubator received on 20 June at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Ikelu, Tanzania, is now up and running and improving the quality of care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). So far, it has been used on a premature newborn weighing 1.2 kg. Now, thanks to this additional unit, the hospital has four incubators in operation, so doctors and nurses will be able to save the lives of more premature babies.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the medical team, we would like to express our sincere thanks to FdE for their support of this life-saving humanitarian initiative.
