On June 12, the Renato e Armando Grandi Foundation had the pleasure of being present at the Calevoet School, located in the municipality of Uccle (Brussels), with a solidarity stand.
This beautiful initiative allowed us to publicize our projects in favor of the most vulnerable children to an audience made up of families and young students, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The aim of this action was to raise awareness among young and old about our work in the fields of health, education and access to drinking water.
We sincerely thank the management of the School of Calevoet for their welcome, their trust and their commitment to solidarity. Our thanks also go to all the parents who came to our booth, took the time to talk with us, and supported this beautiful cause.
Families were able to contribute in different ways: discovering the possibilities of sponsoring children from our orphanage in Tanzania, making donations to support our humanitarian projects or collaborating by purchasing solidarity products.
The Belgian-African Sigoji artisanal chocolates were a great success, as were the accessories handmade by women from Guinea-Bissau from African fabrics. Every purchase directly contributes to funding our projects and supporting the local communities we work with.
The children also enthusiastically participated in our “Draw Solidarity” activity. Thanks to their creativity and sensitivity, they have become true Youth Ambassadors of Solidarity. The drawings made will be exhibited at the school during the week and a selection of the most outstanding creations is published in this article, as well as on the Foundation’s social networks.
Thanks to the generosity of the families, we have raised €427. This sum will contribute directly to the financing of our actions in favour of the most vulnerable children in Guinea-Bissau.
We are also pleased to announce that a child from our orphanage in Tanzania will now have a sponsor thanks to the commitment of a school family. With a contribution of €25 per month (€300 per year), this support will allow you to access education, benefit from adequate accompaniment and build a better future.
Every gesture counts and every contribution can make a real difference in a child’s life.
